The first module in the Equipped to Preach the Word (EPW) series is entitled, Equipped by the Lord, a course of study in which we will together recognize that all Scripture is an expression of the mind and heart of the Lord, teaching us not only what to preach, but how to preach it. The same Spirit that inspired the writers of the Bible also illuminates the understanding of the readers of the Bible and empowers the ministry of the Bible’s preachers.

The module consists of 8 units, which are taught over the course of 8 weeks. Each unit is 120 minutes of shared work, and each unit is accompanied by a set of independent ‘homework’ exercises consisting of exegetical exercises, readings, quotations and videos to help you to deepen your understanding of the topic of the lesson. Individual tasks take about an hour to complete.

The course will be organised online in Hungarian, using Zoom, so it may be easier for active service staff to join in, but we will send all participants the module manual and provide them with a link to the videos of the course. Course participants agree to actively participate in the weekly online sessions and to complete individual tasks independently between the sessions.

The event is organized by the Budapest Institute for Contemporary Christianity and participation is free of charge, but participants will be asked to pay a registration fee of 5.000 Ft, which will be used to reproduce and send the printed materials of the course. (The registration fee should be transferred to the account of Gutta Cavat Ltd. by the time of the first online registration to Raiffeisen Bank Zrt. 12011265-01773613-00100007.)
