How do we hear God – for others?

We held our Praying Ministry Workshop on 11-12 May 2024 on the theme.
We are invited people who

are willing to carry others in prayer and want to become more conscious of this,
wish to strengthen and renew the community to which they belong or which is entrusted to them,
feel the call to join in praying ministry or to initiate such a ministry.

Strong, vibrant congregations are always backed by a strong, vibrant praying ministry – yet we find that few communities are where it really works. How can we make better use of our wonderful treasure, prayer? This is the question we explored with our participants.

Our instructor was Derek McKelvey, retired pastor of Fisherwick Presbyterian Church in Belfast, a Kairos Trust mentor and trainer who has been experiencing the blessings of prayer ministry and teaching its work in Ireland and around the world for over 30 years. He passionately believes that God wants to work with us to bless others.

This two-day intensive workshop was a wonderful experience of God’s working for all of us.
